Vulnerability of Children to HIV and AIDS A study in the Tsunami-affected districts of Tamil Nadu, India

Save the Children Foudation (SCF), has been working towards rehabilitation of the tsunami affected people in India, Indonesia, Sri Lanka and Thailand with a focus on children.

Child right situational analysis was accomplished by way of a) focusing on direct actions on gaps and violations of rights, b) Strengthening structures and mechanisms, c) Strengthening communities and civil societies’ capacity to support children’s rights during the review workshops. Plans for future activities were chalked out.

NCIS, Chennai documented these workshops. New Concept also designed and produced a series of documents concerning SCF’s initiatives in the area of housing construction, equity, livelihoods and vulnerability of children to HIV/AIDS.
